Hotel Verta, where you can arrive by helicopter, has opened as part of the £150/$237 million Bridges Wharf development on London’s Thames riverfront at Battersea. Hotel Verta, part of the London Heliport complex, is offering a special launch rate of £155/$247 room only for September and October.

BritRail’s Low Season Passes are 20% off for unlimited travel on the national rail network throughout Great Britain. Low Season fares start about $43 per day, based on a low-season 3-Day BritRail England Consecutive Pass in standard class. The passes are valid for travel between Nov. 1 and Feb. 28.

Indigo Car Hire has launched an airport special of $176/£109 per week all inclusive at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester airports. Indigo is the new name for 121 Car Rental, which covers all major UK airports and more than 200 locations nationwide.

Wightlink, which operates ferries from mainland UK and the Isle of Wight, has a special Biker Bargain from $48/£30. The cost includes passage for the rider and pillion passenger, or a motorcycle or scooter and combinations, plus trailer up to 1 meter long.
