Free Events, Access in City of London Festival

Many travelers think of the City of London as just the capital’s financial heart, but once a year it breaks out of its pinstripes for the exuberant City of London Festival. From June 18-July 8, the Square Mile’s exquisite guild halls and churches will resonate with music and other performances—the closing concert takes place at mighty St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Many of the festival events are free.

Festivalgoers can gain access to buildings which often remain closed to the public, such as Mansion House, Stationers’ Hall and Merchant Taylors’ Hall, as well as intimate City churches. The festival also heads outside, to such favorite spots as the Guildhall Yard, Paternoster Square and New Street Square.
