Play on Location with ‘Alice in Wonderland’
To celebrate Tim Burton’s new hit movie, “Alice in Wonderland,” the National Trust is kicking off an eight-month party at its Antony House in Cornwall near Plymouth. The classic, 18th-century mansion was the only “real” site for the filming of the motion picture.
The National Trust is transforming Antony into the fantasy land envisioned by Lewis Carroll, in collaboration with the Dodgy Clutch Theater Company. Other National Trust properties in Devon and Cornwall will play along, too.
Members of The Royal Oak Foundation, the U.S. affiliate of the National Trust, are admitted free to the grounds and house; some special events may cost a small fee.
