Race is On for Great North City Games
The Great North Run and Great North City Games will be staged Sept. 19 and 20 on NewcastleGateshead Quayside and shown on TV. The new line-up will be 100m and 200m races, 100m and 200m hurdles, pole vault, long jump, high jump, one mile and two miles in the City Games. The Athletic Ashes will be the first official Australia vs. England city athletics tournament, and the Junior and Mini North Run will be for children. Plus the Great Sport Dance, combining sports moves and dance.
