Hidcote Manor Gardener Lecturing in US
Can’t make it to Hidcote Manor Garden, one of England’s great gardens, this year? Glyn Jones, head gardener at Hidcote in Chipping Campden, north Cotswolds, will be discussing “Lawrence Johnston’s Hidcote: A Paradise Enclosed,” along with horticulturalist Ethne Clarke. This Royal Oak Foundation lecture is 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Filoli in Woodside, Calif. $25 for Royal Oak members; $30 non-members, with includes admission to the house and gardens; reservations by Sept. 21.
This lecture will be repeated 6:30 p.m. Sept. 28 in Philadelphia, Pa. $25 for Royal Oak members; $30 non-members; lecture and dinner $60 for Royal Oak members and non-members.
And again 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at The Colony Club in New York City. $85 for Royal Oak members, $95 for non-members; reservations by Sept. 23.
